Innovation is most powerful when it creates opportunities for everyone. Students from Wesley School 1 for the Deaf showcased brilliance, confidence, and creativity as they presented their wearable smart glasses prototype before the distinguished Codeavour judges.
The innovative project, designed with assistive and smart technology concepts, demonstrated how STEM, robotics, and inclusive innovation can solve real-life communication and accessibility challenges for people with hearing impairments. Through teamwork, determination, and hands-on learning, the students confidently explained their prototype and its functionality during the competition presentation session.
Their outstanding performance earned them qualification to represent Nigeria internationally at the prestigious Codeavour International Competition 2026, placing young deaf innovators from Nigeria on the global innovation map.
